Description
This course will provide O&M details for the variety of valves used in the water and wastewater industry. The course will supplement operator field experience with classroom training. The student will be able to identify valve type, the purpose of each valve and the proper application of each valve. The basic hydraulic characteristics of each valve will be outlined. The course will explain how each valve operates and is maintained. Basic troubleshooting steps for particular valves will explored. Finally the safety aspects of valve operation and maintenance will be detailed.
