Description
The Berks County Dept of Emergency Services developed an emergency response awareness class for water/wastewater plant staff. Representatives from water systems and DEP Emergency Response also provided input.

Course Content
1. Discuss and validate participant’s knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively conduct all-hazards emergency response, mitigation and recovery.
2. Provide participants the opportunity to discuss how to better coordinate response, mitigation and recovery operations with counterparts from Federal agencies, State governments, local governments, private sector organizations, and nongovernmental agencies.
3. Allow participants to share related preparation, response, mitigation and recovery solutions.
