Description
The purpose of this course is to address what happens when wet weather affects not only the wastewater collection system, but also operations at the wastewater treatment plant. The ability to recognize and manage the impacts of wet weather will be reviewed. The goal of the course is to discuss how to maximize flow through a wastewater treatment plant, while minimizing or eliminating the waqsh out of solids, and maintaining compliance with the facility's instantaneous maximum NPDES Permit limits.

Target Audience
The target audience is both wastewater operators and wastewater system managers. Wastewater operators will learn hands-on techniques on how to adjust plant operations during a wet weather event. Wastewater system managers will be exposed to alternative management strategies and infrastructure that can be considered during their long-term planning efforts.
