Description
Field Operations employees from water companies across the United States and other countries have experienced electrical shocks while working on metallic water service lines, mains and flow meters. This course educates the water company worker on the root causes of the various electrical hazards and the dangers of electrical shock. the course describes protective procedures and PPE to prevent electrical shock to the field operations worker. Additionally, the course reviews the dangers of thawing frozen metallic water pipes with high DC or AC current.
