Description
Strains / sprains from improper lifting and material handling continue to be the number one cause of workplace injuries. The training is designed to be a practical, common-sense instruction in 1) identify factors that lead to or contribute to these kinds of injuries, 2) proper lifting mechanics 3) review of alternatives to lifting, 4) kinds of exercises to warm-up / stretch and improve fitness and 5) proper use of lifting belts (these belts do work, but must follow specific course of action). Discussion of real-world applications in water / wastewater.
