This class covers the history of fire hydrants and the critical role they play in the water distribution system. Students learn the anatomy of fire hydrants and the vulnerability and causes of damage to fire hydrants. Solutions for maintaining a reliable/operable fire hydrant system and governing standards for fire hydrants will also be discussed.
