Description
The increased knowledge of consumers has brought environmental issues and customer expectations to a new level making system personnel in the water/wastewater industry reach for higher business ethics standards. Customer education also has created an environment of concerned customers with more questions and opinions which has resulted in a need to educate system personnel in communications skills. This course addresses basic communication skills and issues such as customer expectations, public meetings, and media relations. The possibility of an unknown event happening be it natural or man-made can create high concern, low trust situations that can become sensitive and/or controversial and cause unneccessary damage to the well-being of the system if not handled properly.
