Description
The purpose of this course is to provide training to personnel with proper lock-out and tag-out (LOTO) training for Affected & Authorized Employees as according to 29 CFR 1910.147. The main objective of this program is to increase employee awareness of proper LOTO procedures, OSHA regulation, and energy hazards to provide a safer workplace and to bring your workplace into compliance with OSHA.

Course Content
Lock Out Tag Out authorized persons training is designed for workers performing service or maintenance on machinery and equipment that may be exposed to injuries from unexpected energization, startup of the machinery or equipment, or release of stored energy in the equipment.
The Lockout/Tagout standard requires the adoption and implementation of policies and procedures to completely shut down equipment, isolate equipment from all energy source(s), and prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy while maintenance and servicing activities are being performed.
This course will cover OSHA’s regulation on controlling hazardous energy as defined in 29 CFR 1910.147. Instruction is intended to cover the application of the Lockout/Tagout standard. This course is not a substitute for a company specific Lock Out Tag Out policy.
