Description
To lead attendees through a risk evaluation process that water utilities can use to make risks more transparent and to inventory and prioritize risks. Kyle and Gary will make poster-sized Risk Matrix diagrams. Each speaker will, at the end of their presentation, give the attendees one or two examples of incidents (sewage spill, water main break, contractor exceeds limits, E. coli positive sample, etc.) that the attendees will then place on the risk matrix diagram (according to consequence and likelihood) in order to stir up interaction. Then at the end of the session, the various risks that have been discussed will be compiled and compared as would happen for building a risk inventory.

Target Audience
Since this is about risk management, it is ideally suited for supervisors and managers and consultants and even regulators of water and wastewater utilities who want to learn about how to use some basic tools to discuss risk and develop priorities. It will also be good for operators to consider how risks can be managed and see the bigger picture.
