Description
Excavation work is a daily occurrence working within the distribution of a water and wastewater utility. It is imperative to train all employees, new and seasoned, on a regular basis to ascertain knowledge is retained and application understood. This course is designed to provide training/refresher training on types of protective systems available, how to properly select and install shoring equipment in accordance with OSHA and PAW standards, how to interpret tabulated data, information to complete and retain on the jobsite, how to locate and protect other utilities and personal safety and protection. A practical exercise helps participants to demonstrate skills in a live trench scenario in to interactive discussions and written testing to evaluate participant learning.
