Description
The course is a detailed overview of various types of nitrogen and phosphorus removal technologies. Process control strategies for nutrient removal will be discussed, along with a review of process control calculations. Additionally, case studies of several unique municipal WWTPs, upgraded as part of Pennsylvania’s Chesapeake Bay Tributary Strategy, will be discussed. This course is intended to provide operators with the basics of nitrogen and phosphorus removal technologies, process control, and troubleshooting.
