Trainees will learn about dam terminology, hazard classification, different types of dams, the importance of an inspector’s job, types of inspections that are recommended, seepage/piping issues, instrumentation, embankment stability, vegetation control, burrowing animal control, outlet works, deteriorated concrete, structural movement, erosion, techniques to maintain our dam structures, issues with material deterioration, and materials to keep on hand to assist in the maintenance of a dam.

Operation staff responsible for inspection, operation, and maintenance of dams.
