Description
A common "solution" to excessive inflow/infiltration and overflows in a sanitary sewer collection and conveyance system is implementing a system-wide sewer replacement, when there may other cost-effective solutions for older systems. The presentation will also summarize a case study where the alternative approach includes sewer system inflow/infiltration diagnostic work, alternatives analysis and the construction of more cost-effective wet-weather flow conveyance and treatment facilities. The project addresses sanitary sewer overflows, interceptor sewer and lift station capacity, inflow/infiltration and deficient collection lines.
