Description
Theory and case studies will provide the ability to identify and prevent forms of
corrosion. Steel, in addition to concrete, stainless steels and copper will
be covered. Attendees will become familiar with the cost of corrosion, the
Electrochemical Corrosion cell, review the various causes of corrosion,
become familiar with materials utilized in corrosion prevention, and
learn methods utilized in corrosion control. Participants will also be
exposed to incorrect uses of materials through first hand water industry
examples.
