Description
Ultraviolet radiation has been in use for the last 50 years with ongoing success . This course will provide a technical history of UV system options and considerations for the design and operation of water and wastewater treatment plants. Whether you have experience with UV or are new to the technology, the course materials will cover the Basics including most common system components, choices in lamp technology and reactor styles. We will discuss bioassays, target organisms and validation by third parties as well as the chemistry of organic and inorganic foulants and cleaning techniques to optimize UV effectiveness .
