Description
Each system has unique water quality issues. The lead and copper rule requires systems to evaluate source water and, when necessary, provide an effective corrosion control program. The primary purpose of this course, Module 20: Corrosion Control and Sequestering, is to introduce students to the various corrosion control chemicals. However, before the chemicals can be discussed, the workshop first addresses the Lead and Copper Rule with monitoring provisions and action level exceedance guidance. A chemistry review will help students understand corrosion principles and corrosion treatment theory. Additionally, chemical feed systems will be addressed as well as chemical feed calculations. Ultimately, the purpose of this workshop is to provide students with the necessary study materials for the Corrosion Control and Sequestering (subclass 7) certification examination.
