In this class, students will learn about land applications, solids handling and effluent disposal for wastewater treatment.

Course Content
Land Application – The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the wastewater treatment process with effluent disposal via land application. This course will include instruction on design and monitoring considerations (storage, treatment requirements, acreage requirements, groundwater monitoring and water balance data) for various land application techniques. 6 hours
Solids Handling and Disposal – The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the solids handling technologies used in the wastewater treatment process and the available solids disposal options. The course will include instruction on solids management planning, record keeping and reporting requirements. 6 hours
Target Audience
This course is ideal for current licensed PA Wastewater Operators and those pursuing their wastewater treatment operator's license.
