The purpose of this course is to prepare participants for the PA DEP Wastewater Treatment Exam. Successful completion of this course will help the participant become a certified wastewater treatment operator and also serves as a refresher course for practitioners seeking continuing education credits.

Basic thru Advanced

Collection Systems, Part I – a. List and describe three types of collection systems. b. Compare sanitary and combined collection systems. c. Explain the appurtenances associated with wastewater collection systems. Collection Systems, Part II – a. List three types of pumping stations describe how each operates, and explain the ideal conditions needed for each station to operate properly. b.
