An effective workplace safety committee can help an organization reduce the frequency and severity of injuries and illnesses, foster employee engagement and lead to improved productivity. Under the Health and Safety Regulations of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act, self-insured employers and insurance carriers licensed to write workers’ compensation insurance are required to either employ or contract with qualified accident and illness prevention services providers to deliver services to policyholders or to provide program services. This course is designed to meet the annual refresher training requirements to maintain safety committee certification under Pennsylvania Dept. of Labor and Industry’s Workplace Safety Committee Certification Program.
