Description
This course module is devoted to an operations overview of the Alfa Laval Dewatering Centrifuge serving the solids handling process at the Greater Hazleton Joint Sewer Authority (GHJSA). We will begin the course with an introduction to the centrifuges, including their location and an overview of operation. We then discuss each major centrifuge component in detail. Next, we will provide important safety information that must be followed while working with the equipment. Finally, we will present the procedures used to successfully operate the centrifuge, drive units, and other accompanying components. A summary is provided at the end of the course for review.
