Description
In recent decades, water quality management in the water distribution network has been an increasing challenge as new rules are promulgated (i.e. PA Disinfection Requirements Rule of >0.2 mg/l free/total chlorine) and infrastructure continues to degrade. Across the US, utilities have been deploying new technology into water storage tanks to help manage and improve water quality in the network. This technology includes mixing, residual boosting and aeration for THM mitigation. However, proper tank mixing enables basic improvement by creating a homogeneous tank environment. This presentation is meant to educate attendees on the subject of proper tank mixing.
