Description
Through classroom sessions and application exercises, this course will give the student the ability to function safely and effectively around machinery and energy sources found in the workplace. Operating around energized and operational equipment can often cause injuries and fatalities to employees. This course is designed to identify, assess, and control energy sources and machine operation. The subjects to be covered include safety considerations, lockout/tagout procedures, affected and authorized employees, identifying the various energy sources, isolating devices, and documentation and warning requirements. This program is designed to follow the OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.147.
