Description
With a majority of nationwide water quality compliance issues found in the distribution network, more utilities are focused on tools that can be used in the network itself to actively manage water quality. Maintaining adequate disinfection residual to prevent pathogen growth is an area of intense interest. For example, Pennsylvania's new rules (April 29, 2019) increasing mandatory distribution disinfectant residual from 0.02 to 0.2 is an example that is typical across the US. This course will review the state-of-the-art in automated and semi-automated disinfectant residual control in the network.
