Description
The purpose of this course is to introduce the different types of valves in water and wastewater pumping applications. It is critical for operators to understand the many valves needed in these different pumping applications in order to protect their equipment and optimize the process. At the end of this course the students will be able to identify the different types of valves in water and wastewater pumping systems, explain how they work and select which style is needed for different applications. The students will be able to discuss what causes “check valve slam” and “water hammer” and how these issues can be resolved.
