Description
Through classroom sessions and practical fieldwork, this course will give the student the ability to function safely and effectively in an area exposed to site-specific hazardous materials. After successful completion, the student will receive certification at the technician level in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120 and NFPA 472. Subjects to be covered include site safety procedures, personal protective equipment, containment techniques, decontamination procedures, incident management system, and integrated exercises.
