Description
This course is devoted to the inspection and maintenance of the High Temperature Fluidized Bed (HTFB) Incineration Process at the Greater Hazleton Joint Sewer Authority (GHJSA). After a brief review of the HTFB system itself, we will begin looking at each of the individual checklists that comprise the incinerator portion of the Operator Main Checklist.

Course Content
The operator will learn about the inspection and maintenance of the incinerator located at the Greater Hazleton Joint Sewer Authority.
*Introduction to the incinerator system and overview of the checklists involved.
*The incinerator portion of the Operator Main Checklist:
*monitoring all incinerator SCADA pages and CEMS
*filling out the Incinerator Log Book
*completing the Incinerator Walk Around Checklist
*filling out the Daily Inspection Protocol for Permit Checklist (except SCADA)
*completing the CEMS System Checks and CEMS Calibration Gas Reading sheets
*completing the Scrubber pH Verification Form
*completing the Daily WESP Monitoring Data Sheet
*checking the Radiation Detectors and Log On Sheet
*Filling out Gross Solids Data Sheets, including the percent solids sample analysis
*Filling out the Solids Handling Log Book
*Filling out the Centrifuge Weekly Totals sheet and the Vacuum Filter Weekly Totals sheet
*Calibrating the O2 and GAC CO sensors
