Description
This course covers types, selection, maintenance, and care of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the workplace. The types of PPE covered in the course include hard hats; hand, foot, and eye protection; and body protection. The course also provides general guidelines on when respiratory, hearing, and fall protection are required. The content in this course is designed to comply with the intent of the applicable regulatory requirements.

Personal protective equipment, or PPE, can guard you against many potential hazards in the workplace, ranging from heat and electricity to machinery, chemicals, compressed gas, and noise.
In this course, you'll learn about various types of PPE and their proper selection, use, and maintenance. You'll also learn about different levels of protection and correct donning and doffing techniques. The PPE your employer selects for you will depend on the industry you are in, the specific tasks you're expected to perform, and the hazards associated with those tasks.
