Description
This is an awareness-level course that covers how to work safely with electricity. It focuses on specific electrical hazards found in the workplace and methods to minimize or eliminate those hazards. The content in this course is designed to comply with the intent of the applicable regulatory requirements. Learner objectives are to recall basic rules of electricity as they relate to electrical safety, identify actions to take in an electricity-related emergency, recognize common electrical hazards, and describe methods to reduce or eliminate electrical hazards.

Course Content
Whenever you work with power tools or electrical circuits, you face risks. On average, more than 360 fatalities, and 4,000 life altering and debilitating injuries occur every year due to electrical hazards. That averages out to more than 1 death and 14 debilitating injuries every work day.
In this course, you'll learn about specific electrical hazards found in the workplace, their effects on the human body, and the actions you should to take if there's an accident. You'll also learn to identify, evaluate, and minimize or eliminate electrical hazards.
