Description
After this course, the student will be able to:
1. Explain the interaction between bacteria, enzymes, and higher life forms found in wastewater plants.
2. Identify the key factors of any biomass: floc, filaments, higher life forms, and the bulk water.
3. Recognize components of, calibrate and utilize microscope.
4. Diagnose operational issues using microscope.
5. Stain and identify filaments.
6. Know how specific filaments can cause operational issues.
7. Know how to control filaments.
