Description
Falls are the most common cause of serious injuries and death in the workplace. The purpose of fall protection awareness training is to provide the employee with the skills and knowledge to work safely and to prevent injury from falls in the workplace.
OSHA requires employers to:
Provide working conditions that are free of known dangers.
Keep floors in work areas in a clean and, so far as possible, a dry condition.
Select and provide required personal protective equipment at no cost to workers.
Train workers about job hazards in a language that they can understand.

Course content of fall protection awareness is training and information that is consistent with OSHA regulations that provide the employee with skills and knowledge to understand fall protection in the workplace.
