Description
The course is designed by the American Red Cross and provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. American Red Cross is the industry standard in this field. Their training materials and techniques are reviewed every five years and updated as needed. The most recent update was in December 2021.

Target Audience
The target audience of the trainings is the managers, crew chiefs, off-shift employees and employees who work alone at the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority and Williamsport Sanitary Authority. Employees who do not fall into one of these categories but would like to take the training are able to take the training as space allows.
