Description
Manufactured products and machines are assembled using verious types of fasteners. There are many styles and sizes available for a range of different applications. You will typically find many types of fasteners in a single machine or manufactured product. The applications for which these fasteners are used vary as widely as the size and styles of the fasteners themselves. While fasteners are often a critical component of the machines and products in which they're found, an incorrectly installed fastener is of little or no use. Therefore it's important that maintenance and other technicians understand how to properly install the fasteners they use. This study unit will help you understand how to choose the proper fasteners and how to correctly install and remove them.
