Description
Formulas - This lesson will introduce you to the concept of formulas and presents you with different formulas that can be used to solve various problems. The focus isn't on what the formulas do, but on how you can use the formulas to solve problems. You'll also learn how to transform a formula - that is, alter it in some way - so that you can then use it for your intended purpose. The key to transforming any equation or formula is to be certain that you always maintain the balance, or equality, in the formula.
Introduction to Algebra - This unit is an introduction to the area of mathematics called algebra. The purpose of Algebra is to supply a tool for calculating the "unknowns". Although yo won't be learning to determine these unknown quantities in this unit, you will get started on how to perform operations with terms that contain letters and numbers. This study unit progresses in a logical sequence, includes plenty of examples, and takes you step by step through any new procedure.
