Description
Welding is a method of joining metals that is widely used for the making, repair, and assembly of buildings, machines, parts, and equipment of all kinds. You will often use shop drawings that give instructions for fitting and welding parts. On most of these drawings, the welding instructions will be given by special symbols. In order to read the drawings, you will need to know something about the basic welding processes, the types of joint designs used in welding, and the drawing symbols used for different types of welded joints.
