Description
This course consisting of six study units will provide the student with the skills and knowledge needed to install basic industrial electrical equipment. In addition to learning the symbols for the various types of equipment, the student will learn how to safely install conductors and electrical fittings. The types of equipment discussed includes outlet boxes, panels, raceways, conduits, switches, fuses, circuit breakers, plugs, receptacles, and lampholders. The student will also learn how to calculate electrical loads, lay out circuits, and troubleshoot control circuits.
