Description
This course is designed to cover many of the important topics when performing emergency and bypass pumping. The course will cover general safety aspects of diesel and electric driven pumps. It will cover the basic construction and fundamentals of emergency and bypass pumps and their concepts. The course will go into properly sizing the correct emergency and bypass pump systems and different arrangements that can accomplish a successful emergency or bypass setup. The course will look at the specification process of emergency or bypass pumping for bidding and risk management for both prepping the job and while it is happening. There will be an outdoor demonstration of a self priming diesel pump to see its components in person.
