Description
This course is intended for all workers in both the Drinking Water and Wastewater industries who may, in the course of their normal duties, work adjacent to or come into contact with various electrical installations including, but not limited to, service panels, service disconnects, system bus panels and breakers, motor starters, pump actuators, electrically-controlled agitation and distribution equipment, transformers, capacitors and power transmission and generation lines. This contact may take place in equipment rooms, confined spaces, vaults, pits, tanks, vessels, as well as high voltage equipment rooms.

Target Audience
This training is intended for all employees at any level who may work in or supervise workers in areas where electrical equipment or electrical control equipment. It is appropriate for entry level employees as well as experienced workers and supervisors. While the intent of this class is for Drinking Water and Wastewater licensees, it is also appropriate for all workers in the industry, and should be useful in helping to round out facility electrical hazard training for all employees.
