Description
The purpose of this course is to identify the proper surface preparation requirements for steel and concrete substrates in both atmospheric and immersion service. This course includes standards of cleanliness for both of the drinking water and wastewater markets.

Course Content
This Steel and Concrete surface preparation course will methodically explain the importance of following the
surface preparation of steel and concrete cleanliness standards and profile requirements. We will identify
and describe the various cleaning methods up to and including abrasive blasting of the substrates. In
addition, this course will review the visual surface comparators for both concrete and steel to establish
industry standard results prior to the coating application process.
Target Audience
Licensed Water and Wastewater Operators, Engineer Licensed Operators.
