Description
To educate water and wastewater operators of the importance surface preparation plays in the longevity and successful application of hi-performance coatings and protective linings during capital improvement and maintenance projects.

Course Content
This Steel surface preparation course will methodically explain the importance of following the surface preparation of steel cleanliness standards and profile requirements. We will identify and describe the various cleaning and methods up to and including abrasive blasting of the substrates. In addition, this course will review the visual surface comparators for steel to establish industry standard results prior to the coating application process.
Target Audience
Licensed Water and Wastewater Operators should attend the class that have had, are having, or will be having capital improvement or maintenance hi-performance coatings or protective lining projects at their plants.
