Description
The purpose of a confined space course is to protect workers by providing the knowledge, skills, and procedures needed to safely perform confined space entry and work. Course Content
This Confined Space Entry course provides workers, supervisors, and safety personnel with the knowledge and skills required to safely identify, evaluate, and work in confined spaces. The course explains regulatory requirements, hazard recognition, entry permit systems, atmospheric testing, ventilation, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency response procedures. Participants will learn how to distinguish between permit-required and non-permit confined spaces, understand the roles and responsibilities of authorized entrants, attendants, and entry supervisors, and apply safe work practices to prevent injuries, illnesses, and fatalities associated with confined space hazards. This training aligns with applicable occupational safety regulations and industry best practices and is suitable for both initial and refresher training.
