Description
This training program is designed to equip wastewater professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools—such as automated sewer inspection and defect-coding platforms—into comprehensive asset management programs.
Participants will learn how AI enhances condition assessment, risk prioritization, capital planning, and maintenance optimization.
Course Level
Basic thru Intermediate
Course Content
The course begins with foundational principles of asset management and explores how AI supports each phase of the asset lifecycle—from inspection and data collection to renewal planning. It then focuses on AI-driven sewer inspection workflows, including automated defect coding, quality assurance, and integration with existing systems such as GIS, CMMS, and SCADA.
Participants develop skills in applying AI-generated condition data to risk modeling and predictive maintenance strategies. The program also covers lifecycle cost analysis, capital improvement planning (CIP), and performance measurement using AI-informed analytics. Emphasis is placed on governance, data management, cybersecurity considerations, and workforce adaptation to digital transformation.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to implement AI-assisted inspection processes, develop risk-based rehabilitation plans, forecast capital needs using predictive analytics, and c
